Process

Four stages, the same for every firm. Here is what happens and when, how a page gets approved, and what I need from you.

The four stages

From first audit to monthly reporting

Week 1

Audit

Map pack positions, Google profile, rankings, technical health, links and the three firms ahead of you.

Week 2

Plan

A written plan you approve before any work starts.

Months 1–3

Fix and build

Quick wins first: technical fixes, profile work, call tracking and the first pages.

Every month

Grow and report

New pages and links, then one plain report on intake.

In detail

What each stage includes

Audit

  • Map pack checks from points across your service area
  • Google Business Profile review against the firms above you
  • Rankings for your main case types
  • Technical crawl of the whole site
  • Links, directory listings and AI search mentions

Plan

  • The case types and locations I focus on first
  • A list of pages to fix, rewrite or create
  • Which numbers I report on, and how I trace them
  • An estimated monthly range for the work

Fix and build

  • Technical fixes made directly, not just listed
  • Categories, services and details on your Google profile
  • A review request process your staff can follow
  • Call tracking that keeps your main number
  • The first practice-area pages

Grow and report

  • New and improved pages each month, by plan
  • Links from local press, organisations and legal publications
  • Checks of what AI search tools say about your firm
  • The monthly report, and a review call if you want one
Approval

How a page goes live

Nothing is published on your site or profile without your firm's sign-off.

  1. Draft. I write the page for the client reading it, using the questions people ask before they call a lawyer.
  2. Claims check. Every statement about your firm, your results and your fees is checked against your state bar's advertising rules.
  3. Firm review. A named person at your firm reviews the draft and marks any changes.
  4. Publish. The approved version goes live, with structured data and internal links in place.
  5. Report. The page appears in the next monthly report with its rankings, visits and calls.
The monthly report

What every report covers

One page, in plain English, every month.

Intake

Calls, forms and consultations

Traced back to search and checked against your intake log.

Outcome

Signed cases

The cases that came from search, as marked by your firm.

Visibility

Map pack and rankings

Your position across your city for each case type you target.

Work done

Pages, fixes and links

Everything published or changed that month, with links to each item.

AI search

AI answers

Whether ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews name your firm.

Next month

The plan ahead

What I'll work on next, and why.

From your firm

What I need from you

About an hour at the start, then a few minutes a month.

A kickoff call

Thirty minutes on the cases you want more of, and the ones you don't.

Access as a user

Manager access to your Google Business Profile, and user access to Analytics, Search Console and your website. You keep ownership of all of them.

A named reviewer

One person at the firm who approves pages before they go live.

Your intake numbers

Each month, which consultations turned into signed cases, so the report shows real outcomes.
